Hi, I’m Sarah!

School Life
I spent nearly a decade teaching Kinder, First Grade, and STEM—and I loved dreaming big with my students. Whether I was designing inquiry projects or launching full-blown House Systems, I was always asking: How can we make this more meaningful? More engaging? More fun?
I had the honor of helping two schools build House Systems from the ground up, and I’ve always been obsessed with transforming schools into places where kids feel seen, empowered, and excited to show up.

Today's Day-to-Day
After leaving the classroom, I jumped into full-time creative work—and now I get to blend my passion for design with my deep love for education.
I work with schools and organizations to bring big visions to life through graphic design, branding, consulting, and custom product development. That includes everything from House System design + implementation to logos, murals, digital products, and classroom tools that make learning feel fresh and fun.
I also run The Super Sub Project—a movement to transform how schools handle sub days—and I’m building the Slow Teachers Club, a cozy rebel space for educators who are done with burnout and ready for a slower, more intentional pace.

Forever Growing
When I’m not working on schools or design projects, you can find me:
-Making my first-ever quilt (it’s a slow masterpiece in progress)
-Hiking, walking, or just staring lovingly at trees
-Taking Level 3 improv classes (because “yes, and” applies to life too)
-Daydreaming about land, art, and slower ways of living
I believe in creative detours, deeply-rooted values, and building a life that feels good—not just one that looks good.
My Experience as a Teacher:
2013-2016: Kindergarten Teacher
2016-2019: First Grade Teacher
2019-2022: K-5 STEM Teacher
Teaching was my very favorite thing.
I worked at two Title 1 schools, and helped open a brand new CCSD school in the middle of the pandemic.
I have a passion for teaching STEM, integrating Growth Mindset and SEL, and have developed a deep love for House Systems and the sense of community they help create.
I tried to be the change I wished to see in the world of education. I created Friday Morning dance parties, dressed up in costumes, helped create connection and community, and tried to ensure that EVERYTHING about school felt fun, thoughtful, and safe for my students.
I am the recipient of two teacher recognition awards; Teacher of the Game (2017) and Heart of Education Award (2021)
Though I left the classroom, a piece of my heart will forever be in schools alongside teachers and impacting students.
